Code Complexity vs Experience ... this is probably a function of all those books which during the initial years the student takes as a sign of proficiency -

The language and configuration books dominate the computers section totally and can we blame the journeyman programmer who mistake the trees for the forest

Bob is paying 4 installments at $25 each. Bob's loan is for $96. Why is Bob paying $100 for a $96 loan? (Look at the installment breakdown)

In a BNPL (Buy now pay later) model, this is how the owner of the service makes her profit, this is on the merchant. Original product price is $100, owner of the BNPL offers to pay $96 under the hood, then proceeds to tell Bob he could pay for the item in 3/4 installments which might be flexible for Bob.
