This covers the technical skillsets aspects well, but the journey would be incomplete without learning how to positively impact others through mentoring, collaborstion and teamwork, i.e., making the people around you better. Cricital thinking, decision-making, and business accumen also come to mind.

Would you consider *not* animating the gifs? Or maybe being a little more... subtle? The images in this newsletter felt particularly over-animated to the point where it felt very distracting. Also, the order of items in the Junior to Senior roadmap appears off? Following the line from top to bottom, the items are in the following order: "4, 6, 5, 8, 7..." I typically find the content well edited and very helpful. This issue seemed off.

This is fantastic. Thank you for sharing. Please could you share something similar but titled "11 steps to go from Junior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer". I'm training to become a Cloud DevOps Engineer at the moment and any information from your publication would be useful. Thank you!

I would add git to it too. It's pretty important and it can get complicated too.

Excellent roadmap. I would add Clean Code and SOLID principles and SRE and FinOps. We find so many engineers get the code functioning but it’s unmaintainable and responds poorly to change. Cost and trade offs there-in are rarely considered. Engineers should live in the trenches of operating their solutions.
